What is a great vacation without a super room to sleep in. The hotel room may be itself a destination. You will not need a great sight if you will choose an interesting hotel. But if you want to have it all you can check in at Treehotel.
It has treerooms with contemporary design in the middle of unspoiled nature in Harads, Sweeden, near the Lule river, at about 100 kilometers from Luleå airport.
The village has a population of about 600 and features a restaurant, shop and guest house. From Treehotel’s rooms you get a fantastic view of the Lule River valley, miles of forest and the powerful river.
Treehotel was inspired by the film ”The Tree Lover” by Jonas Selberg Augustsen. It’s a tale of three men from the city who want to go back to their roots by building a tree house together. “The Tree Lover” is a philosophic story about the significance of trees for us human beings.
The Mirrorcube is a hide-out among the trees, camouflaged by mirrored walls that reflect their surroundings. The dimensions are 4x4x4 metres. The base consists of an aluminum frame around the tree trunk and the walls are covered with reflective glass. The interior is made from plywood with a birch surface. The six windows provide a stunning panoramic view. The Mirrorcube offers excellent accommodation for two people with a double bed, bathroom, lounge, and rooftop terrace. A 12-meter-long bridge leads up to the treeroom.
The Bird’s nest
The Bird’s nest’s exterior is nothing but a gigantic bird’s nest. It gives a camouflage so you quickly disappear and become part of the surroundings. The room can house a family with two children. It is 17m² and has separate bedrooms, bathroom, and living area. You enter the Bird’s Nest with the help of a retractable staircase.
The UFO‘s room is cast in durable composite material – all to create the lightest, yet strong and sustainable design possible. The 30m² interior gives the room a modern and comfortable feel. The UFO is built for five people, two adults in a double bed and three children, with separate beds, bathroom and living area.
